A careful sequence
Identify the exact filter
Match the filter code, stage, connector, and replacement interval to the purifier manual. Do not rely on appearance alone.
Shut off water and power
Close the water valve and disconnect power when the manual requires it. Prepare a towel or tray for residual water.
Replace and seat the filter
Remove the old cartridge, fit the new one in the correct direction, and check that the lock or seal is fully engaged.
Flush and inspect
Run the specified flush cycle, check for leaks, and discard the first water if the manufacturer instructs you to do so.
FAQ
Can I use a different filter brand? +
Only when the manufacturer or a qualified installer confirms compatibility. Flow, seals, certification, and filter performance can all change.
Why is the new water cloudy? +
Air in the cartridge or lines can cause temporary cloudiness. If it persists, stop using the unit and check the manual or service guidance.
