01 / Step-by-step

A careful sequence

01

Read the cleaning-cycle instructions

Use the washer’s Drum Clean or equivalent cycle when available, and follow the detergent or cleaner guidance for that model.

02

Clean the door seal

Pull back the rubber seal carefully and remove lint, hair, and standing water. Do not use a harsh chemical that can damage the seal.

03

Rinse the dispenser and filter

Remove detergent residue from the drawer and check the drain-pump filter only when the manual gives access instructions.

04

Dry and ventilate

Leave the door and dispenser ajar after use when safe to do so. Ventilation is part of preventing recurring odour.

02 / Common questions

FAQ

How often should I run a drum-clean cycle? +

Use the manufacturer interval as the baseline, then shorten it if the machine is used heavily or develops recurring odour.

Why does the washer still smell after cleaning? +

Check the door seal, dispenser, drain filter, detergent dosage, and ventilation. Persistent odour may need service rather than another cleaning product.
